Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has announced it is making Redmi a different brand without revealing the main reason for the move. The announcement essentially creates Redmi originally introduced as a funding smart-phone line-up by the company in July 2013 that a subsidiary of Xiaomi.
The new brand has recently scheduled a launching event on January 10 at China at which it will launch its original smartphone with a 48-megapixel camera detector,” Gizmo China reported on Thursday. As stated by Lei Jun, Creator of the Organization, the Reason for splitting up Redmi along with Xiaomi is the”attention”.” As the Redmi brand focuses on value-for-money budget smartphones, the Mi brand is dedicated to high-end apparatus. In addition, the Redmi apparatus are mainly marketed through e commerce platforms whereas Mi apparatus aren’t ecommerce focused,” the report included quoting Lei on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo.
