Demi Lovato cancels tour after entering rehab

Demi Lovato has officially canceled the remaining dates of her Tell Me You Love Me tour after checking into rehab.
The “Confident” singer was scheduled to perform in Mexico in September and in South America in November.
“We wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America,” Live Nation and Lotus Productions told TMZ in a statement Thursday.
Despite the cancellations, the tour dates are currently still listed on Lovato’s website.
Lovato, 25, suffered a drug overdose on July 24 that left her hospitalized for two weeks.
An assistant found Lovato unconscious in her bed and called 911.
Paramedics who responded reportedly administered Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effects of opiate overdoses, at the scene.
Immediately after she was hospitalized, the singer canceled a scheduled performance in Atlantic City.
A “heartbroken” Lovato announced in April that she had to reschedule her South America tour dates for the fall due to production issues.
In June, Lovato canceled two tour dates in London, citing vocal cord issues and illness.
Less than two weeks later, she revealed she’d relapsed after six years of sobriety.
Lovato spoke out about her recovery on Sunday, writing on Instagram, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet … I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery … I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side.”
