The Festivities start the end of the prior week Thanksgiving with the hanging of a million lights in trees along Chicago’s Michigan Avenue known as the Magnificent Mile of Lights Festival. This tradition is one of the greatest and most prevalent of Chicago’s holiday event. The celebration includes three separate days of music, parades, fireworks and more. Opening end of the week is the primary end of the week in December and the end of the prior week Christmas. This event draws enormous crowed.
The Great Tree lighting and holiday window shows at Macy’s State Street will make you feel as though you have ventured into a Christmas Fairytale. At 12:00 twelve on the seventh floor in the Walnut Room the Great Tree Lighting function starts.
