1st British Soldier Dies in Iraq Since 2009, Cause Unknown

The British Ministry of Defense says an Army trooper has kicked the bucket at an army installation in Iraq under unexplained conditions.

The service named him Tuesday as 22-year-old Lance Corporal Scott Hetherington from the Manchester range.

The reason for Hetherington’s demise on Monday is under scrutiny. The service says it didn’t come about because of foe movement and called it a disastrous episode.

Hetherington, who had a little girl, was presenting with the British Army. He is the primary British fighter to bite the dust in Iraq since 2009.

The British Army has officers in Iraq supporting the nation’s battle against Islamic State fanatics and to balance out the administration there.

English troops are preparing Iraqi strengths in battle systems at a few camps around Iraq.
